SharePoint Training @ Amman – Microsoft Innovation Center

Today we headed to Amman to attend a SharePoint training being held at Microsoft Innovation Center there. I am went with two of my colleagues and PalDev members Rushdi and Anas. A bunch of Palestinian developers and IT Pros will be there … thanks for PITA for arranging this training.

We go down to Jericho about 9 o'clock and we nearly missed the last bus heading to Jordan it was just a few minutes and we will be left there for tomorrow.

Anyway regarding the training … our coach will be Mohammed Saleh a C# MVP –ya that's right C#- he has a deep experience and works at DEVOSIS a SharePoint specialized solutions company … this training will last for 5 days and an intermediate and advanced topics will be discussed. I am sorry to tell that SharePoint is a non-common Microsoft technology in Palestine. You will not find many people have a real experience in this great solution. I myself have a very poor experience no more than deploying the MOSS2007, making a dummy site and installing some web parts.

Anyway this training will have a big impact at the Palestinian IT community and again I am sorry for this. This means that the Palestinian IT market is still immature and very poor with such enterprise technologies and solutions. For example I could not figure out how many organizations ever used SharePoint server,  Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Virtual Server … etc or one of those enterprise level solutions but sharepoinitI am sure its less than one hand fingers.

Anyway, back to our training .. here is glance about the outline … Here we go:

Yesterday Windows 7 team announced that Windows 7 release candidate are available to download. Check this post which contains more details on requirements, release validity time and general tips you need to take in your considerations.

There is a bunch of new features, enhancements available in Windows 7 waiting for you. You can visit what’s new page to see a detailed information. All you need to start is your windows live account and visit the download page to download your Windows 7 RC copy.

One thing you need to keep in your mind that its strongly recommended  not to use Windows 7 RC on your main computing machine since it will be no longer valid after March 1st, 2010.

I think its very exciting experience so I am installing it right now –at my spear laptop of course-

Hope that helps
